Excellent choice on the Sig:Ar:Tyr and Pentacle!

  2. Verily, the last few days have vanished in no time! Then again, I suppose a lot of my minutes were swallowed by reading “No Sleep Till Saltburn”, a pretty darn entertaining book about the metal scene in north east England (50-100 miles from where I live) in early 80s.

Thanks for the playlists though. For some reason these interest me for reasons of pure nosiness, but there are a couple of unfamiliar names here I need to investigate too.

    Me:

    Hädanfärd – Vederstyggelsens Uppväckelse
    Vassafor – Obsidian Codex
    Abigail – Intercourse And Lust
    Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult – Necrovision
Enslaved – Yggdrasil (seeing them tonight; not expecting much from this release, mind!)
Inquisition – Magnificent Glorification of Lucifer
Lvxcaelis – Mysteria Mystica Maxima XXIII
    Repugnant – Epitome Of Darkness
    Vomitor – Bleeding The Priest
Zwartplaag / Faagrim – United Wolfish Hordes

  3. Let’s see…lately:

Wormed – Exodromos (still, of course)
    new Devourment
    new Aosoth
    Urfaust – Geist ist Teufel
Mare – Throne Of The Thirteenth Witch
    Mare – Spheres Like Death
    Kaosritual – Svøpt Morgenrød
    Unbeing – The Exhalation
    Celestial Bloodshed – Omega
Castrum Doloris – I Shall Become EP
Black Majesty – Baphe Metis demo
Black Majesty – Seventh King of Edom EP
    Chao – Spiritus Sankti
    Vemod – Venter Pa Stormene
    new Horna
    Horna – Kohti Yhdeksän Nousua
Mysticum – In the Streams of Inferno reissue

  4. Oooo Summoning; been trying to get them back in play list rotation for awhile. always liked their unique style…. and who doesn’t like orcs? 🙂

    Play List:
Riot- Nightbreaker. One of the best metal bands ever, still sad that Mark Reale is no longer with us 😦 Love this album even though it’s comprised of rough demos introducing DiMeo on vocals.

Witchcraft- s/t. Hmmm, second-rate ’70s era Pentagram worship. Pass for now, will retry another time.

Graveyard- Lights Out. Not a bad album, but it needs some more oomph at times;none of the songs rawk quite hard enough, and too many go for a laid-back jazz lounge vibe. May grow on me, but it really needs something to kick my ass a bit.

Running Wild- Masquerade. Killer album that goes overlooked even by fans of the band. I always thought this band went unrecognized; I mean c;’mon, a pirate-themed metal band is the single best image gimmick since Paul and Ace got into their moms’ makeup kit.

VNV Nation- Automatic. Holdover form last time.

Kalisia- Cybion. Excellent proggy death-tech, for fans of Cynic and the like.

Cynic- Traced in Air. Cool album I keep coming back to.

    On Deck:
Deathspell Omega- Si Monumensum. Because it didn’t sink in well the first time around but showed promise.

Wolves in the Throne Room- Black Embrace. I’m getting to it eventually….

Pilgrim- Misery Wizard. So many things to play, so little time…

  5. Nightsblood> I don’t know a WitTR release called Black Embrace. Do you mean Black Cascade or am I missing something here… (which would be very cool, a WitTR release I’m not familiar with!)

  6. Congrats on the new online store and the new label sirs! \m/

  7. Many thanks! The way the market is, we’re gonna need it!

  8. No hidden release, I just got the title wrong, my bad. ‘Black Cascade’ is still in the on-deck circle. I promise that I’ll learn it’s title once I get around to playing it 😀

    Update Playlist:
Pilgrim- Misery Wizard. Not bad but rather dull on first impression. Many groups these days forget that doom can’t just be slow.

Black Crowes- Shake Your Money Maker. High school fave revisited.

Lynyrd Skynyrd- best of. ‘Cause it’s 78 degrees and beautiful out and I spent 4 hours on the road today driving through the countryside, and ‘Skynyrd is how we roll down south 🙂

  9. Hey nightsblood, I hail from the South myself (though am currently in Northern MI, and do love it here), was curious about your current locale (if you don’t mind my asking)? I have roots in GA and AL, so of course, Skynyrd will always have a place in my collection as well \m/ -Jim
